How Nailoholic makes money, in plain words.
Nailoholic is free to read. To keep it that way, some links and placements may earn us money. This page explains exactly how, and how we keep it from changing what we recommend.
Affiliate links
If you buy through some links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
No paid verdicts
Money never decides what we recommend, and brands never approve our articles.
Always labeled
Affiliate links, gifted products and sponsored posts are marked where you see them.
Your price stays the same
You never pay more because you used our link.
Affiliate links
Some links on Nailoholic are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something, the store may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not.
We may work with these programs and stores: [list them, for example Amazon Associates, brand programs, or networks such as ShareASale or Rakuten. Delete any you do not use].
[If you join Amazon Associates, keep the statement Amazon requires, currently: “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” Check the exact wording in your program terms. Delete this box if you do not use Amazon.]
How we label it
We tell you before you click, not after. Here is what you will see.
| Situation | What you will see | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Affiliate | “This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.” | At the top of the article, before the first link. |
| Gifted | “[Brand] sent us this product for free. They did not see or approve this article.” | At the top of the article and next to the product. |
| Sponsored | “Sponsored by [Brand].” | At the top of the article, above the title. |
| Ad | “Advertisement” above the ad. | Anywhere an ad appears. |
How we choose products
- Experience first. We recommend products Brynn has [used, tested or researched closely]. Each article says which, using the labels in our editorial policy.
- Commission is never the reason. We link to products with no affiliate program when they are the better choice.
- Bad results get published. If a product fails, we say so, even if it pays a commission.
- No brand approval. Brands never review, edit or approve an article before it goes live.
Gifted products
[Choose one and delete the other.]
We do not accept free products. Everything we show was bought by us. / Brands sometimes send us products for free. Accepting a product never guarantees coverage or a good review, and every gifted product is labeled in the article.
Sponsored content
[Choose one and delete the other.]
We do not publish sponsored posts. / Sometimes a brand pays us to create content. Sponsored posts are clearly labeled at the top, follow the same editorial standards as every other article, and the brand does not control our opinion.
Brands interested in working together can contact us.
Advertising
[Choose one and delete the other.]
Nailoholic does not show display ads. / Nailoholic shows ads served by [ad network]. Ads are chosen by the network, not by us, and advertisers have no say in what we write. Ads may use cookies; see our privacy policy.

Social media
The same rules apply on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. Paid or gifted posts carry the platform’s paid-partnership label or a clear #ad or #gifted tag at the start of the caption.
